Description

Give your nod of approval to this collection of (7) 1960s-1970s Washington Redskins bobble heads. 75% of the group bear the taboo team nickname "Redskins" on the jersey fronts, and all can safely be considered historic relics now.

Featured are:

1.) Customized Sonny Jurgensen with round gold base, bears the Hall of Fame quarterback's name on the back, and his number "9" appears on the front, back, and both sleeves. A Sports Specialties sticker is affixed under the base, and the faceguard bar is securely attached. Condition is (VG) due to a couple of hairline cracks on the back of the head, and typical moderate wear around the head opening. These conditions are unobtrusive to display, and overall this guy stands as an attractive example.

2.) Raised jersey lettering and square wood base with red foil "Japan" sticker, date this as the earliest piece of the bunch. This one presents magnificently, with just a 1/2" hairline crack on the left side of the head, otherwise shows NM details. A stray spot of white paint on the edge of the helmet at front, appears to be a factory issue.

3.) Burgundy helmet with Native American logos, and round gold base with Pro Novelty sticker under the base, rates as (VG) due to moderate wear on the narrow flesh area under the helmet, and a chip on the neck stem, above the jersey collar, but remains a very handsome piece.

4.) Gold helmet with Native American logos, and round gold base with Sports Specialties sticker is limited to a (VG-EX) grade, due to two hairline cracks on the head, though otherwise it presents much better.

5.) Burgundy helmet with spear logos, and round gold base with Sports Specialties sticker is (GD), with a chip on the front of the base, and wear on the helmet.

6.) Burgundy helmet with spear logos, and round gold base without sticker is (GD) due to helmet cracks, while the body and decals are in excellent shape.

7.) Gold helmet with "R" logos, and round gold base with Sports Specialties sticker is (VG) with vibrant paint, strong gloss, full decals, hairline cracks on the head, and moderate wear around the head opening.

Also present is a plastic running back bobble without factory sticker (EX-MT) with minor wear on the back of the pants. Not counted in the lot total.
