From Washington DC with love, comes this Griffith Stadium 4-seat section. In a city known for its many historic institutions, Griffith Stadium stands out as the most storied sports venue. Through five decades of service, this quirky multi-sport palace with distant outfield fences and a fifty-foot tall beer sign that was in play for baseball games, hosted the Senators, Redskins, several Negro League squads, college teams, and many others. Each Spring the President would throw out the ceremonial "first pitch", and stars such as Walter Johnson, Goose Goslin, Harmon Killebrew, Sammy Baugh, and Bill Dudley gave fans plenty to cheer about throughout the year. Recall the countless thrills and events that took place at W Street and Georgia Avenue, with this genuine Griffith Stadium seating section. Measuring just a bit over 8' wide, with 21x14 seat bottoms, this 4-piece section is free standing, but a bit tenuous. The wood slats have been painted white, however the iron frame bears scant traces of the original green paint, and overall the row presents handsomely.
