Both have included personalizations to "Jim Rick", and Marshall has provided the date inscription "December 1948". Accompanying is a typed letter dated 2/8/49 on White House stationery, addressed to Mr. James J. Rick, and signed by Mathew J. Donnelly, Secretary to the President.
Harry Truman typed letter signed on White House stationery dated 5/9/50, in an 11x14 matting. Addressed to John L. Leben, this letter is in thanks for birthday wishes. Staining and surface loss at the bottom left corner do not affect Truman's signature, or any of the letter's content.
