Description

"Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets", and she wants you to score this vintage Washington Senators jersey, which was worn in both the 1958 film version of "Damn Yankees", and a 2008 Off-Broadway revival. A label on the interior left states this vintage flannel is a size "40", made by Tim McAuliffe Inc. of Boston, reportedly for the Senators, as were all the jerseys used in the movie. A tag inside the collar reads "Anderson Davis, 1/-02, Act I/Sc. 2", indicating it was worn on stage by actor Davis in the 2008 City Center Encores revival stage production in New York City. Classically styled with pinstripes and a zippered front, this jersey bears a "W" patch on the left breast, and a number "4" patch on the back, with the details consistent with the c.1958 Senators period uniform worn on the field, and also worn by the actors in the Damn Yankees film. Though the tail is pocked with moth holes on the front and back, this shirt displays handsomely. The zipper functions smoothly, the patches are vibrant, and the overall appearance is very pleasing.
