Description

Produced by Michael Pressner and Company in 1943 and 1949, the offered R302 designation was one of a handful of sets produced during World War II. Although the cartoonish illustrations are crude, the player selection overwhelms any detractors. Highlights include:

1943 R302-1 M.P. & Co. set: (24/24, average FR to GD with 30% paper loss/residue, pin hole and/or writing, plus 10 dupes) with Boudreau (FR, paper loss), (2) Cronin (GD, FR), (2) Dickey (GD, PR), DiMaggio (PR, paper loss), Feller (PR, paper loss), Foxx (PR), Greenberg (FR), Hubbell (GD), (2) Medwick (VG, GD), Mize (PR, reverse paper loss), (2) Ott (both PR, one reverse writing), (3) Reese (one GD, (2) PR with paper loss), Ruffing (PR, pin holes), T. Williams (GD);

1949 R302-2 M.P. & Co: (6 cards, average FR, 33% paper loss) with #101 T. Williams (FR), #110 Kiner (FR), #124 Doby (PR)
