Catch hold of the "The Fordham Flash", with this 1944-1945 Pittsburgh Pirates team-signed baseball. Under the direction of manager Frankie Frisch, the "Bucs" turned in some decent season records during the WWII era, which saw the Major League ranks depleted due to military service. Several of the more prominent contributors to Pittsburgh's success during the period have signed the offered 1941-1945 ONL/Frick model ball (VG). Multiple signatures have faded from view, however (6) autographs remain readily discernible, averaging ("6-7") potency, with: sweet spot: Jim Russell (d.1987); east panel: Frankie Frisch (HOF, d.1973), "Rip" Sewell (d.1989), "Fritz" Ostermueller (d.1957); and south panel: "Babe" Dahlgren (d.1996), Max Butcher (d.1957).
