Advanced autograph collectors knock one out of the park with this 1932 Philadelphia Phillies team-signed baseball. A period-signed Pennant Amateur League model, this ball (VG) is decorated with (20) autographs from players who competed a century ago. While most of the signers were members of the '32 Fightin' Phillies squad, the key signer Casey Stengel was a coach from an opposing team, the Brooklyn Dodgers. Signature strength averages ("8-9") unless noted, under what appears to be a very thin layer of shellac, and several autographs are affected by sporadic surface abrasions.

Featured signers are:

Sweet spot: Harry McCurdy (d.1972), Ed Holley, Don Hurst (d.1952);

North panel: Bernie Friberg (d.1958), "Hans" Lobert ( "5", d.1968), "Chick" Fraser ("5-6", d.1940), "Casey" Stengel ("6", HOF, d.1975), Clise Dudley;

South panel: "Pinky" Whitney, "Woody" English;

East panel: Dick Bartell, Jack Onslow (d.1960), "Kiddo" Davis, Johnny Moore;

West panel: Jack Berly (d.1977), "Jumbo" Elliott (d.1970), Ray Benge, "Spud" Davis, "Snipe" Hansen (d.1978) and Al Todd.
