Commemorate the Cleveland Indians most recent World Series victory, with this 1948-1949 lot of (3). Sadly for Cleveland faithful, the Indians 1948 championship is ancient history. Perhaps this nostalgic trio of souvenirs will offer some solace for the decades of also ran status.

Featured are:

1948 Photo pack complete set of (30) average (EX to NM) unless noted, with deference to all having writing on the back: Satchell Paige, Hank Greenberg, Bill Veeck, Bob Feller (VG, small edge tear), Bob Lemon, Lou Boudreau, Joe Gordon (VG, small edge tear), Larry Doby, Bill McKechnie (VG, two small edge tears), Eddie Robinson, Mel Harder, Hal Peck, Thurman Tucker, Dale Mitchell, Russ Christopher, Don Black, Ken Keltner, Bob Muncrief (VG, three small edge tears), Bob Kennedy, Wally Judnich, Hank Edwards, Gene Bearden, Johnny Berardino, Joe Tipton, Allie Clark, Jim Hegan, Muddy Ruel, Ed Klieman, Steve Gromek and Sam Zoldak. Accompanying is the original team branded envelope in well worn condition and split along most of the perimeter.

1948 World Series program (FR) with cover re-attached by staples along the spine.

1949 Stanford Pottery "Chief Wahoo" mascot bank with gold tooth. A dynamic and very pleasing (NM+) example with bold paint, abundant gloss and no signs of chipping, crazing or cracking. The underside of the base is stamped with "Stanford Pottery, Sebring, Ohio".
