From the days during which protection on the gridiron was at a minimum, these shoulder pads represent football's archaic beginnings. Comprised of thick wool padding with leather top coverings, the pads are adjoined by a canvas-like strip at the base of the neck and have laces at the front to facilitate fastening. There are arm-insertion straps at each edge and an “HF CHASE” manufacturer's stamping on each front panel. Light use is evident with minimal fraying about the wool components.
