Having gone head-to-head for five October showdowns in thirteen seasons (1941-1953), the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers did Fall Classic battle again in 1955, with the Flatbush representative finally prevailing. The offered display celebrates that famed World Series installment. Affixed to a one-inch thick wooden slab measuring 41-1/2 x 18-1/2”, two halves of a baseball bat are signed by (26) participants from both teams. The black or blue marker autographs average (“8”) strength with highlights including Berra, Ford, Podres, Reese, Rizzuto, Slaughter and Snider. The bat halves flank a 1991 Ebbets Field color lithograph print and the piece is further accented by 1953 Topps Archive cards of combatants from both teams. Accompanying is a full photo LOA (cert #B48302) from James Spence Authentications. Complete list of signatures available on our website.
