A player to be named later to complete a 1996 trade between the Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Phillies, former right-hander and Maryland native Garrett Stephenson wore this gray knit button-down garment during the 1997 season. "Phillies" is embroidered in red cursive on a white plate across the chest and red-and-white striped stretch ribbed cotton lines the sleeve endings. In red-on-white twill "54" is sewn to the back and left sleeve and "STEPHENSON" is arched atop the back number. In tribute to Richie Ashburn, a black band with an embroidered "1" lines the left sleeve. This feature was worn for a very limited time, as Ashburn passed away on September 9 of that year. The right sleeve, meanwhile, is home to a Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary patch. On the left front tail, a "RUSSELL ATHLETIC" size "48" label is accompanied by a fabric content tag and a tag denoting "2" EXTRA LENGTH." Original and unaltered, the jersey shows light wear. Accompanying is an LOA from Ed Dolan.
