Earning consideration for Rookie of the Year honors in both 1988 and 1989, former "can't-miss" second baseman Gregg Jefferies was subsequently dealt to Philadelphia, where he wore this Phillies road jersey during the 1998 season. This gray knit button-down garment features "Phillies" embroidered in red cursive to a white plate on the chest. In red-on-white twill, "25" is sewn to the back and left sleeve and "JEFFERIES" is arched on a name plate atop the back number. Red-and-white striped stretch ribbed cotton lines and sleeve endings and the left front tail is home to a "RUSSELL ATHLETIC" size "48" label, a fabric content tag and (2) flap tags that respectively denote "-1" Sleeve Length" and "TAPER BODY." All original and unaltered, the item shows light to moderate wear. Accompanying is an LOA from Ed Dolan.
