Performing for the expansion Tampa Bay Devil Rays in their inaugural season, Hall of Famer Wade Boggs authored a .280 batting average with seven home runs (paltry by his own high standards but solid for any other 40-year-old veteran). Offered is a Devil Rays home jersey worn by Boggs during that 1998 season. This white knit button-down garment features "DEVIL RAYS" sewn to the chest in various shades of teal-on-white twill and the deadly fish logo just below. In purple-on-white-on-black triple twill, "12" (the only retired number in club history) is sewn to the back and "BOGGS" is arched just above. Black piping lines the sleeve endings, an "Inaugural Season" patch adorns the left sleeve and, situated on the left front tail, a "RUSSELL ATHLETIC" size "48" label is accompanied by a fabric content tag. All original, the jersey shows light wear. Accompanying is an LOA from Ed Dolan.
