Issued on Opening Day in 1884, this Boston Beaneaters program was scored in pencil that afternoon to detail the hosts' 5-3 triumph over the visiting Buffalo Bison. The fold-out item's cover showcases an image of Beaneaters captain, skipper and National League saves leader John Morrill (two saves, while four others each notched one). The scoring grids features pre-printed lineups that include (3) Hall of Famers: Dan Brouthers, Pud Galvin and Jim O'Rourke. The item features ads for local establishments and shows (GD) quality with a vertical compacting fold and a small tear.
